Steering Committee
History
ADHO (the Alliance of Digital Humanities Organizations) is an umbrella organization representing constituent organizations in digital humanities. This site includes the planning and governance documents of that organization. The effort to establish ADHO began in Tuebingen, at the ALLC/ACH conference in 2002: the original working group was established by association committee meetings in July of that year, and preliminary recommendations were presented at the annual ACH/ALLC conference at the University of Georgia in May 2003; the Steering Committee was provisionally appointed for one year at the ALLC/ACH meeting in 2004, in Gothenburg, Sweden, and recommended the adoption of governance and conference protocls at the 2005 meeting in Victoria.
