ADHO Archive
Before ADHO was finally adopted by the Steering Committee in 2005, the umbrella organization experimented with a number of different names, including "ADHO" (or sometimes, ADHOC, where the "C" was for Committee), IFDiSH (International Federation for Digital Scholarship in the Humanities), ICHIO (International Consortium of Humanities Informatics Organizations) and COHCO (Consortium Of Humanities Computing Organizations). These temporary names occur more or less at random in the pre-2006 organizational and planning documents, all referring to the organization now officially known as ADHO.
